16 Dec Customise your Wrapping Paper
Customise your Wrapping Paper
The joy in giving presents will be multiplied with this DIY Advent activity for customising your wrapping paper!
1. WITH A MARKER!
Choose plain and matte wrapping paper (kraft white or brown), and decorate it with a marker, drawing little festive (or unfestive!) patterns. If you’re lacking inspiration, here are a few examples that you can recreate! Feel free to also take a look on Pinterest, where you’ll find plenty of ideas.
2. WITH STAMPS
For more regular patterns it is a good idea to use stamps, which you can buy here. However, don’t panic if you don’t have stamps – you can always use a potato! Yes, you heard me, a potato! All you need to do is cut it in half and carve out your desired design. We have also pre-prepared some designs, download our free printable, to give you a few ideas!
This also works with imprints: leaves, citrus fruits, or even kisses!
For this technique, you can use an ink pad or gouache paint (or lipstick for your little kisses!)
3. WITH COLLAGE
The 3D possibilities are endless! Stick down some little pompoms, tissue paper flowers (real or fake!), confetti, and so on…
